Customizing fields
When you create a new list in clssfy, your list items will have some default properties or “fields”. These default fields are very common fields. For example the image or name field. No matter what you want a list item to look like (if it’s a movie, an event, a location, a person, or just a simple link), you probably want to give it a name or title and upload an image to make the information more appealing. But these fields can be removed and you can even add your own custom fields!
Existing fields
The default fields for a new list include:
- Name
- Image
- URL
- Short description
- Tags
And some system properties which are automatically set and cannot be edited:
- ID
- Created at
- Updated at
Removing default fields
Most of these fields can be removed if you don’t need them. To do this go to your dashboard and click the settings settings icon of the list you want to edit. Then click “List item fields”. You will see a list of all the fields. You can open the configuration settings for each field by clicking on its name. There you can select the checkbox “Disabled” to remove the field from the list item form and prevent it from showing up in list or the list item details.
The name field cannot be disabled or removed.
Adding custom fields
You will soon have the option to add custom fields!
